Rietveld Remixed is a unique DJ console, that houses record equipment and is mobile in order to be moved around the ground floor of our clients home.
Sip developed a design inspired by the ‘Elling’ Sideboard of the late Gerrit Rietveld. A series of square, hexagonal, and circular rods and tubes conceal the cabling between the components. Underneath the cabinet a set of wheels allow movement and a brake can be applied when stationary.
Working with a cabinetmaker to construct the housing, built from a highly durable paper composite material, Sip fabricated the brass frame. patined black, that fastens and assembles all the parts into the completed piece.
